Badge Placement
The badge is properly worn on the left breast, horizontally halfway between the armpit and the center of the chest. Vertically, the top tip of the badge should be no closer to the lower edge of the gray than .75″, and no more than 1.5″, depending on height (where a taller height warrants more space).
The charts below depict the rank pins worn on the collar of the uniform to denote rank and note placement of the appropriate designations. The ranks are shown with each division where such rank could be appropriate.

Admirals wear their rank on both sides of the collar (symmetrically) as well as on the wrist stripes as explained on the variants page.

O-11: Fleet Admiral (FADM)
O-10: Admiral (ADM)
O-9: Vice Admiral (VADM)
O-8: Rear Admiral Upper Half (RADM)
O-7: Rear Admiral Lower Half (RDML)
Line Officers
For all Line Officers, pips are to be worn on the right side of the collar, vertically centered between the parallel top and bottom edges, with the first pip placed roughly 1/2″ to 3/4″ away from the center edge of the collar, with 1/8″ between pips moving toward the side of the neck from the front. If the rank called for requires a black/hollow pip, that pip is to be placed last in the chain.

O-6: Captain (CAPT)
O-5: Commander (CMDR)
O-4: Lieutenant Commander (LCDR)
O-3: Lieutenant (LT)
O-2: Lieutenant Junior Grade (LTJG)
O-1: Ensign (ENS)
Enlisted Crew
The inner edge of enlisted rank designations should be 1/2″ to 3/4″ away from the center edge of the collar on the right side of the body, centered between the upper and lower edges of the collar.
